Senior Spotlight: Carey
My FINAL senior session of spring 2018 officially wrapped this week and I could not have ended this series with anyone other than Carey. Carey is an extremely sweet person that I've known for a little bit through my sorority and wish I would have spent more time with. She's also in a service sorority, XDA, and embodies Ut Prosim in almost everything she does. Read below what she has to say about her time at VT and her plans for the future:
"College has been a wild ride. The person I was in 2014 is a completely different person than who I am today. When I first came to Virginia Tech, I had no idea what I was doing. I was an HNFE major and a cadet, with no concrete plans ahead of me. I honestly did not want to stay at Virginia Tech. Once sophomore year rolled around, I truly felt like I was finding my place here. I switched majors to Public Relations, and discovered my passion for sales. I started making friends and finding my people. If it wasn't for them, who knows where I would be. Thank you to my friends who taught me how to be strong, laughed at me when I needed it, let me cry on their shoulder, and put up with my craziness everyday. Virginia Tech feels like home because of them.
I cannot wait to see what the future holds for me as I move to Nashville this month and follow my dreams. I wouldn't be here without the support of my parents and family. I know I stress you guys out at times, but thanks for never giving up on me."
